Noriko Y. Cuevas
Licensed Massage Therapist
Noriko, originally from Japan, became interested in essential oils and aromatherapy about 25 years ago when very few people knew about them. She looked for a school to do her study, but there was nothing offered in Japan. She then took a course from London School of Aromatherapy where she also learned Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage massage and facial massage. However, she was still not fully engaged in the aromatherapy business because her main job was as a pharmacist and there were not many opportunities to use those types of massage skills in Japan, back then. Later, she would take a job at a Chinese herbal pharmacy where her interest in natural remedy grew even more. A few years later, she decided to study massage, once again, and began her study at a massage school in Canada; however, as fate would have it, just before school began, she met and married her husband. This began her journey to the US where she dedicated her time to her family. After ten years, she was finally able to renew her studies and became a US licensed massage therapist adding deep tissue, hot stone, and Thai massage skills to her repertoire of massage certifications. Noriko is also a licensed group exercise and Zumba instructor. In her free time, she very much enjoys doing a lot of Zumba.
