Dansk Day Spa at Occoquan

is the creation of Birgit Campana who walked away from corporate America to pursue her dreams of owning her own business. In July of 1999, she opened her first massage clinic, Dansk Body Massage, in Springfield, VA co-located with Dr. Anthony Platas at Springfield Chiropractic Life Center.

In 2002, Dansk was expanded to a massage studio on Poplar Alley in Historic Occoquan where body treatments and facials were also offered along with an expanded massage list.

In 2004, a wonderful opportunity presented itself and Dansk Day Spa opened its doors on Commerce Street with a goal toward bringing an oasis of calm and healing along with result driven treatments to our much stressed community. As times change and as we continue to grow with our clientele, we will keep our eyes open for our next opportunity for further growth and expansion, but we'll always be in our beloved Historic Occoquan.

Michelle Jang worked as an esthetician at Dansk for a few years and started the next chapter for Dansk when she purchased the spa from Birgit in October 2017. In doing so Michelle wanted to introduce new, cutting edge esthetics techniques and treatments while maintaining the quality of service, excellent staff, and dedication to customer service that Birgit strived for in all of her years as owner.
